Oil Paintings

Spring Training for the Fondo

“Spring Training for the Fondo”, oil painting, 18” x 48”.  It’s a winner!

Each year the Sunrise Rotary Club of Cranbrook holds a Gran Fondo bicycling event.  The profits of the event go to support a local project.  In 2020 Joseph was asked to donate a painting in order to raise funds for The Foundry ( youth recovery centre), which he was pleased to do.  While the Fondo had to be cancelled in 2020 and again in 2021 due to the pandemic, Joseph created this painting and donated it to Rotary, who are raffling it off, selling art reproductions of the original, on canvas and art cards to support The Foundry project.

In the spring of 2021, Joseph entered this painting in the International Artist Magazine, Landscape challenge 124.  His painting was a winner and will be featured in International ARtist magazine #140, Aug/Sept. issue with a section of the magazine devoted to his work.
